Stephanie J. Rivera
Owner / President
With over 18 years of experience in the education of young children, Stephanie J Rivera is a true entrepreneur who owns and operates multiple child care centers (from start-ups to acquisitions). All of her schools have won several awards within the communities they serve. She has rapidly grown her company with an extraordinary excitement contagious to all who work with her.
Stephanie continues to be in high demand for her presentation, and leadership ability. She has presented many personal and professional motivational seminars on management, parent relations, staff development and marketing. Stephanie’s company continues to grow as she leads her team into the next realm of possibilities.
Karmen Hembury
Director of Human Resources
Karmen Hembury is the Director of Human Resources for Children’s Choice. In 1998, Karmen graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Law Studies. She has continued her education at Arapahoe Community College focusing on Early Education.
Karmen first joined Children’s Choice in October 2002 as the Lead Teacher in the one-year-old classroom and also gained experience as a Lead Teacher in the three-year-old classroom. In February 2006, Karmen accepted a Center Director position at our Highlands Ranch location. As Director of Human Resources, Karmen develops training guidelines, monitors employee benefits, and upholds employment policies and procedures.
Jacy Mays
Regional Executive Director
Jacy's expertise in the education for young children has made her a true asset to Children's Choice. Jacy continues her education by attending National Childcare Association conferences and seminars though out the year. She believes that loving, enjoying and teaching children for all the qualities that make them unique, interesting and worthy as little individuals is our ultimate goal because there is nothing more important than your child(ren).
Kris Kapral
Executive Center Director, Lone Tree
Kris Kapral is currently the Executive Center Director for our Lone Tree Center. Kris holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in English from SUNY Postdam. She has been with our company since June of 1997. Kris’s schools have been awarded Best of the Best by the Douglas County News Press in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Kris is a very talented writer and enjoys helping the company obtain grants for additional improvements to Children’s Choice. Kris is a life-long learner and challenges herself by continuing her education in many areas of study.
Adriana Blandon
Center Director of Lone Tree
Adriana Blandon is currently the Center Director of our Lone Tree location. Adriana has been an integral element to the success of Children’s Choice. Adriana’s dedication to the school has spanned for over ten years. She started as a teacher’s assistant and with persistence, experience, and education Adriana now inspires others in her Director position. Adriana stays at the top of her profession by attending The National Childcare Association conferences and seminars throughout the year.Jeneane Rupert
Executive Center Director - Children’s Choice of Highlands Ranch
Jeneane Rupert is currently the Executive Center Director of our Highlands Ranch location. Jeneane obtained an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Arapahoe Community College. Jeneane began her career with Children's Choice in May 2006 teaching in our preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms. A combination of management experience and a love for children, Jeneane has proven to be a valuable asset to the company.
Ashleigh Cope
Executive Center Director - Children's Choice of Castle Rock
Ashleigh Cope is currently the Executive Center Director at our Castle Rock location. Ashleigh comes with many years experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. While teaching, she continued her education and received her Director’s Certificate. Ashleigh has attended Child Care seminars and Core Knowledge conferences to stay at the top of her profession and to be a valuable resource to the staff.
Kelly Stever
Executive Center Director, Centennial
Kelly Stever is the Executive Regional Director for Children’s Choice of Centennial. Kelly has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Kelly began her career with Children’s Choice in August of 1997 at our Lone Tree location. Kelly’s schools have been awarded Best of the Best by the Douglas County News Press in 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006. Kelly works daily with the directors of each location to ensure that our policies and procedures are being followed. She has proven to be a valuable asset to the company and is always looking for a new challenge.
Mona Hill
Program Director - Children's Choice of Parker
Mona Hill was born in Denver, Colorado. During High School she had an opportunity to work in a child development center which peaked her interest in Early Education and Child Development. Through this early experience with children Mona became passionate about addressing issues relating to children in the care, love and education they receive in an Early Education Setting.
After completing high school she obtained her BA in Behavioral Science with a minor in Early Childhood Education with an Elementary Education endorsement from Metropolitan State College of Denver, CO. After completing her undergraduate degree she became a successful director of private and public child development centers, and now has more than 14 years of experience in this field. Mona served on a Board that opened an innovative child development center on the campus of the University of South Carolina which is a NAYEC accredited school. During her tenure as Regional Director she received numerous awards including Director of the Year.
During her work at the University of South Carolina, she became passionate about the education of youth at risk. She was given the opportunity to work on a national project with Girls Inc. in which she worked directly with the CEO of the organization to raise funds for girls at risk; this initiative raised over 2 million dollars in scholarship money for early childhood education and college scholarships for young women.
Having three teenagers of her own has further fueled her desire to ensure no child is left behind, and that every child has the opportunity to experience quality child care. Mona is a dedicated program director and is proud to be able to offer parents and children with quality early education in a safe, loving and comfortable environment.
Dusti Stanton
Executive Center Director - Fox Ridge
Dusti Stanton is currently the Executive Center Director of our Fox Ridge location. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State, Long Beach. Dusti comes to us from Orange County, CA, where she worked as a Director of a large childcare center. She has worked with children ages 6 weeks- 18 years old, for over fifteen years; working in afterschool programs, early childhood programs, and with troubled youth. Dusti has attended various child care seminars over the years, which she feels helps to make her a better Director.
